The White House has a Comment Line?!?

Do you want to let President Bush really know what you think about his policies?

Maybe give him a comment or two on the War in Iraq, Global Warming, Environmental Policy, the Stolen Election, High Gas Prices, the Economy, Inflation, Habeas Corpus…etc.

Well the White House has a comment line, and now its your turn to tell the president what’s on your mind.

They are ready for your call Monday through Friday 9am -5pm EST

Call (202) 456-1111 TODAY

I called and let the President know what I thought of his handling of our national affairs.  Its really simple, first its tell you that “due to high call volume your call may take longer the usual”  (I think if more people knew of this number the call volume would increase 100 fold).

After about 5-10 minutes a nice lady picks up (she sounded to be about in her seventies), she asks for your comment…she takes it down…asks where your from….tells you the president cares about what you think…and thanks you…

I hope he got my message!

The Plan for the Food Supply

As I plan which fruits and vegetables to grow in our three outdoor gardens, I wonder what has happened to this county.

There was a time when every American knew how to grow and harvest their own food supply.  But in the last century we turned in our garden gear, and picked up the microwave (along with a handful a chemicals in the process).  I have no problem with society changing and growing, but when it comes to the food supply industry, I think we many have all fallen for a dirty trick.  The comic below by Mike Adams and Dan Berger explains this concept pretty well.  To me the comic shows what happens when natural organic food goes out of style and processed toxic chemical food goes in.

Plan for the Food Supply

It is really something to think about.  Being raised in this easy as 1-2-3 pop it in the microwave lifestyle can sometimes give people the feeling that “How could their be anything wrong with processed food?  We’ve been eating it forever.”  Well no, NO we haven’t been eating it forever.  Up until the second half of the last century most people in the United States grew their own food.  Not that I’m saying we need to turn in our shopping carts for the pitch fork, but I do believe we need to become more aware of what is in our food and where it comes from.

Just a little food for thought.
